Following a dramatic six-week season filled with challenges, recouplings, and viral internet moments, Trinity Tatum and Bryce Dettloff have been crowned the winners of Love Island USA Season 8. The couple received the highest number of votes from fans and were officially declared the victors during the season finale that aired on Sunday, July 12. As a result of their win, the pair will split a $100,000 prize pot, with each taking home $50,000 before taxes.
The finale featured the runner-up couple, Aniya Harvey and Carl Schmidt, alongside third-place finishers Melanie Moreno and Sincere Rhea. Zach Georgiou and Kayda Bosse concluded the season in last place. To mark the end of their tenure in the Fiji villa, the cast members participated in the show's tradition of jumping into the pool while fully clothed.
Fans looking for more details on the participants' experiences can tune in to the Season 8 reunion, which is scheduled to stream on Peacock at 6 p.m. PT/9 p.m. ET on Monday, August 31. The special is expected to provide updates on where the couples stand and offer insights into their lives after departing the villa.
The season faced scrutiny regarding the conduct of certain contestants. Prior to the June 2 premiere, Vasana Montgomery, a 25-year-old business owner from Oregon, was removed from the cast after a video surfaced showing her appearing to use a racial slur while singing along to a song. Montgomery later issued an apology on social media, acknowledging that her actions had caused hurt. Later in the season, Alannah Keyser, a 21-year-old college student from Miami, was ousted on June 25 after only days in the villa. Her exit followed the circulation of screenshots and a video purportedly showing her using a racial slur. Keyser addressed the controversy in a June 27 TikTok video, stating that she does not support racism, claiming the video in question was from six years ago, and asserting that the circulated screenshots of messages were falsified.
The big reveal capped off nearly six weeks of divisive challenges, dramatic recouplings, endless "Corbin GPT" memes and "French fry" references.
