Manchester City Shortlist Chelsea Winger Pedro Neto for Summer

Manchester City have included Chelsea winger Pedro Neto on their list of potential attacking recruits for the upcoming summer window. While the 26-year-old Portugal international is currently being considered by the club, no formal approach has been initiated to secure his services.

Reports indicate that City is actively assessing various reinforcements for their wide positions. The interest in Neto is reportedly linked to the influence of head coach Enzo Maresca, who previously worked with the player during his time at Stamford Bridge, where he frequently utilized him on the right wing. Should Manchester City decide to pursue a strengthening of that position, a reunion could be a viable option, although the club is currently weighing multiple targets rather than focusing exclusively on the former Wolverhampton Wanderers player.

Chelsea is aware of the growing interest surrounding the forward, which has also included attention from Liverpool and clubs in the Saudi Pro League. Despite this, the London club is not actively seeking to offload any of their senior forwards. Insiders at Chelsea suggest that the external interest is a reflection of the current market scarcity for proven wide players rather than an internal desire to move the player on.

Chelsea's firm stance on retaining their squad is further influenced by the rapidly increasing valuations of elite wingers across the transfer market. Current trends show high price tags for similar talent, such as the valuations placed on Bradley Barcola by Paris Saint-Germain and Yan Diomande by RB Leipzig, both of which exceed £100 million. Pedro Neto, who moved to Chelsea from Wolverhampton Wanderers last summer, continues to be regarded as a significant member of the squad.
