Gennaro Gattuso Dismisses Kenneth Taylor From Lazio Training Session

Lazio's pre-season schedule experienced a turbulent moment on Thursday as new head coach Gennaro Gattuso dismissed midfielder Kenneth Taylor from the training pitch following a heated dispute at the Formello facility. The incident occurred approximately one hour into the morning session.

Reports indicate that the friction began when Taylor, who has been with the club since joining from Ajax in January, expressed frustration regarding a knock he had sustained. When the 24-year-old responded to a rebuke from his manager, the 48-year-old Gattuso immediately halted the training session. Gattuso pointed toward the exit and commanded the player to leave, shouting "Vai fuori!"—or "Get out!"—as Taylor exited the field.

While the flashpoint was detailed by Radio Laziale, subsequent reports from Il Messaggero suggest that the club is unlikely to issue any formal or significant sanctions against the player. Instead, the situation is being managed internally. Taylor is expected to meet with Gattuso and members of the club’s sporting department before the team's second training session of the day to resolve the conflict rather than allowing it to escalate further.

The disruption marks an uneasy period for the Biancocelesti as they continue their preparations for the upcoming campaign.
