A 23-year-old man has been formally charged with murder following a fatal house fire in Grangetown, near Middlesbrough, that resulted in the deaths of a woman and her young niece. The blaze, which occurred in the early hours of 26 August, claimed the lives of 34-year-old Natalie McDonald and seven-year-old Valentina Foster.
Cleveland Police confirmed that Jaden Wright, who is of no fixed address, has been charged with two counts of murder. In addition to the murder charges, he faces multiple counts of grievous bodily harm. The defendant is scheduled to appear at Teesside Magistrates' Court to face these allegations.
