Twelve Dead After Wildfire Sweeps Through Southern Spain

A fast-moving wildfire in southern Spain has resulted in the deaths of twelve people, according to regional authorities. The incident occurred late on Thursday near the hamlet of Bedar in the province of Almeria.

The Andalusian regional government confirmed the casualties in an official statement, noting that several of the victims were discovered by responders inside their vehicles. Firefighting crews remain on the scene as they continue their efforts to contain the blaze and secure the area.
