Transfer journalist Alfredo Pedulla has firmly rejected speculation linking Fiorentina full-back Dodo with a move to Roma. Addressing the rumors on his YouTube channel, via FirenzeViola, Pedulla stated that no negotiations exist between the two clubs following Zeki Celik’s departure to Juventus.
"Those who spoke of negotiations being set up between Fiorentina and Roma to take Dodo after Celik’s exit, none of this is true to me," Pedulla stated. He emphasized that there is currently no interest from the capital club, noting that he previously trusted Fiorentina, but their recent communications regarding the situation were not reflective of reality.
While the journalist dismissed the link to Roma, he did clarify that the Brazilian defender’s future at Fiorentina remains uncertain. "Roma are not on Dodo. The Brazilian is on his way out of Fiorentina," he added.
These comments align with growing reports that the player is looking to depart the club. Fiorentina is reportedly holding out for a fee in the region of €15 million for Dodo, who is currently under contract until 2027. While Roma’s interest has been officially ruled out, other suitors—including Napoli—have maintained a persistent interest in the defender as the transfer window progresses.
