In an upcoming appearance on 60 Minutes, Patrick Clancy shares his personal experience with grief and the challenges he has faced following the deaths of his three children. During his conversation with correspondent Ross Douthat, Clancy speaks about the persistent memories of his children, Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and 8-month-old Callan, who were killed in 2023.
Clancy revealed that he continues to maintain a connection with his children, stating, "I still talk to my kids all the time." When asked about how he manages the pain, he added, "Help me. All the time."
The interview was recorded in the weeks following the conclusion of Lindsay Clancy's murder trial, which resulted in a mistrial. The jury was unable to reach a unanimous verdict, specifically failing to agree that the defendant was not criminally responsible by reason of insanity. Throughout the legal proceedings, the defense maintained that Lindsay Clancy was suffering from postpartum psychosis at the time of the incident. Prosecutors have not yet disclosed whether they intend to pursue a retrial.
Beyond the legal developments, Clancy also addresses the impact of baseless conspiracy theories that have circulated on social media since the trial began.
