Four Airlines to Replace Ryanair at Paris Orly in 2027

Four new airlines are set to begin operations at Paris Orly Airport for the summer 2027 season, taking over slots that were previously allocated to Ryanair. The redistribution follows a decision by Cohor, the independent organisation responsible for the coordination of airport slots, which has reassigned a total of 4,368 slots for the upcoming season. This allocation represents the equivalent of six daily flights on an annual basis.

The slots became available after several airlines either relinquished their previous allocations or lost their rights to them. Notably, this included Ryanair, which had failed to operate the two daily flights it was granted for 2025. Although the Irish low-cost carrier’s arrival at Orly was initially announced in late 2024, the company ultimately opted not to proceed with the routes it had secured.

The airlines selected to take over these slots are SkyUp, Middle East Airlines, Eurowings, and Air Arabia Maroc. According to reports, these carriers will launch services between April and October 2027, connecting Paris to destinations in Germany, Lebanon, Moldova, and Morocco. Specifically, the Ukrainian airline SkyUp, which is based in Moldova, is slated to operate flights between Paris and the Moldovan capital of Chisinau. Meanwhile, the Lebanese carrier Middle East Airlines will establish a connection between Paris and Beirut four times per week. Data indicates that the slots formerly held by Ryanair accounted for approximately one-third of the total capacity redistributed by Cohor.
