Nottingham Forest has announced the appointment of Oliver Glasner as their new head coach. The 51-year-old Austrian arrives at the club following a tenure at Crystal Palace, where he led the team to UEFA Conference League success and secured the 2025 FA Cup—the club's first major piece of silverware—after a victory against Manchester City. Glasner, who joined Palace in 2024, also boasts a strong European record, having guided Eintracht Frankfurt to the 2021-22 Europa League title.
The appointment marks a significant period of transition for Nottingham Forest, as Glasner becomes the club's fifth manager in the last year, following Nuno Espirito Santo, Ange Postecoglou, Sean Dyche, and Vitor Pereira. Glasner replaces Pereira, the former Wolves boss who was unexpectedly dismissed from his post last week. Prior to accepting the role at Forest, Glasner had been linked to positions at AC Milan and the German national team following the departure of Julian Nagelsmann.
