Juventus is actively working to secure a new goalkeeper and a centre-forward during the current summer transfer window. As of late July, the club's recruitment efforts have seen only one new addition to the squad in teenager Jeff Akhator, who is currently sidelined due to an injury.
The Bianconeri are prioritising an upgrade to their current options, moving beyond last season's primary goalkeeper, Michele Di Gregorio. Initial interest was directed toward Liverpool's Alisson Becker, a player well-known to head coach Luciano Spalletti from their previous tenure together at Roma.
To ensure they have viable alternatives, Juventus has established a list of potential targets, which includes Tottenham’s Guglielmo Vicario and Parma’s Zion Suzuki. In their pursuit of a new number one, the club has held discussions with Benfica regarding the availability of their goalkeeper. Juventus has been informed that securing the player would require a fee in the region of €30m. This valuation aligns with the price tags previously associated with other targets on their shortlist, including Suzuki and Vicario.
The Old Lady are keen to upgrade on last season’s no.1 Michele Di Gregorio, and had initially targeted a move for Liverpool’s Alisson Becker, well known to Spalletti from their time together at Roma.
