The NFL quarterback, who is entering his seventh season with the team, recently faced scrutiny in an annual survey conducted by ESPN involving NFL executives, coaches, and scouts. Despite being ranked the league's No. 7 quarterback on nearly 80% of ballots, one anonymous NFL coordinator raised concerns about his professional development.
The coordinator acknowledged Herbert's talent but noted that he "plays young," adding that the quarterback lacks the "maturity level" of his peers regarding his mastery of the position and overall operation of the offense. This critique comes during a period where Herbert has been actively supporting Beer, who recently completed her "The Locket Tour."
On Sunday, Beer shared an Instagram post featuring a doll-like look she wore during her Toronto concert stop, consisting of a light blue pastel corset-style mini dress with floral embroidery, paired with tan tights and pointed-toe footwear. Herbert publicly praised the look in the comments, writing, "Beautiful!!" The couple, who confirmed their relationship in October 2025, previously made their red carpet debut at Clive Davis’s annual Pre-Grammy Gala on February 1 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. They were also famously spotted sharing a kiss on the sidelines at a Chargers home game.
Herbert’s commitment to his off-field life has previously drawn attention, specifically when he missed portions of the Chargers' voluntary offseason workouts in May to travel to Europe and support Beer during her tour. Recently, as Beer approached the final dates of her tour, Herbert commented "Run it back" on her social media post regarding her remaining performances. During a December 10 appearance on the "Call Her Daddy" podcast, Beer expressed appreciation for their relationship, stating that she feels taken care of and has someone to lean on.
