If finalized, this transfer would surpass the £105 million record set three years ago when Arsenal signed Anderson's England teammate, Declan Rice.
Anderson is currently with the England national squad preparing for a last-16 match against Mexico. The player has already completed his medical examination in Kansas City, where the national team is based. Formalities for the transfer are expected to be concluded once the player returns to England and his international duties have ended.
