England has bolstered its lineup for the final two matches of the ODI series against India with the inclusion of fast bowler Brydon Carse. The 30-year-old returns to the national setup after a period of rehabilitation for wrist and elbow injuries that had sidelined him from competitive play.
Carse recently demonstrated his fitness by participating in three T20 Blast matches for Durham. His return follows a challenging period earlier this year when he was forced to miss the IPL after sustaining an injury to his right hand during a net session. While the specific details of that injury remained undisclosed, Carse has now cleared the path to rejoin the international side.
The pacer, who last represented England in the New Year's Ashes Test at Sydney, has not featured in an ODI since November 2025 against New Zealand. Throughout his career, Carse has played 30 ODIs, claiming 34 wickets at an average of 40.44. The upcoming matches against India are scheduled to take place at Cardiff on July 16 and Lord's on July 19.
