The second season of Canada's premier T-10 cricket league, Canada Super 60, has finalized its rosters following a comprehensive player draft. The upcoming tournament, scheduled to take place at BC Place in Vancouver from September 29 to October 4, will feature a blend of established international stars and promising local Canadian talent.
The draft successfully secured several high-profile cricketers, including Kieron Pollard, Nicholas Pooran, Andre Russell, Colin Munro, Mustafizur Rahman, and Jonny Bairstow. These marquee names join a list of pre-signed stars that already includes Jonny Bairstow, Sam Billings, Chris Lynn, and Chris Jordan. Further international depth was added through the selection of Moeen Ali, Imad Wasim, Tom Curran, David Willey, Tymal Mills, Azam Khan, and Andries Gous.
Canadian cricket was also well-represented in the draft, with players such as Saad Bin Zafar, Kaleem Sana, Nicholas Kirton, Yuvraj Samra, Ali Nadeem, Dilraj Deol, and Finley Dixon selected to participate. These athletes will compete across six city-based franchises: the Vancouver Anchors, Whiterock Warriors, Brampton Blitz, Toronto Sixers, Mississauga Masters, and Montreal Royal Tigers.
Yuvraj Singh, a partner in the league, expressed enthusiasm regarding the talent pool, noting that the combination of world-class international performers and emerging Canadian players provides an ideal platform for the sport's growth.
