Outside the executive mansion, a large crowd gathered to protest the prime minister’s visit throughout the day.
The meeting occurred against a backdrop of public friction between the two leaders. President Trump recently criticized the prime minister for publicly voicing concerns regarding Iran’s nuclear facilities instead of handling the matter privately.
