With the World Cup concluded, attention has shifted toward the upcoming 2026/27 Fantasy Premier League season. In preparation for the new campaign, officials have confirmed that 11 players will undergo in-game position changes, a move likely to alter their strategic value for managers.
Among the most notable reclassifications is Manchester City’s Omar Marmoush, who has been transitioned from a midfielder to a forward. Meanwhile, Manchester United’s Patrick Dorgu moves from a defender to a midfielder, a change reflecting his frequent positioning high up the pitch throughout the previous season.
Arsenal’s Myles Lewis-Skelly, who initially broke into the side as a full-back, is now classified as a midfielder following his shift to a central role late last term. At Bournemouth, Eli Junior Kroupi is set to be listed as a midfielder rather than a forward, though his future at the club remains a subject of speculation during the current transfer window.
The updates also include defensive and midfield adjustments for other clubs. Brentford’s Keane Lewis-Potter has been reclassified from a defender to a midfielder. Additionally, Fulham’s Ryan Sessegnon returns to his status as a defender after being listed as a midfielder during the 2025/26 season.
