Market observers suggest the legal challenge reflects Apple’s perception of OpenAI shifting from a strategic partner to a direct competitor. Paolo Pescatore, an analyst at PP Foresight, noted that OpenAI is actively seeking to reduce its reliance on the iPhone ecosystem in favor of establishing a direct consumer connection.
