Israeli forces launched extensive military raids across the occupied West Bank on Thursday, detaining and interrogating more than 150 Palestinians in one town alone, demolishing a prisoner's home, and leaving multiple people injured.
In the town of Azzun, local sources reported that approximately 15 military vehicles carrying more than 30 soldiers entered the area to conduct widespread home searches. During the operation, soldiers detained over 150 residents, turning a local home into a temporary military barracks to conduct field interrogations before gradually releasing them. Meanwhile, in the nearby city of Qalqilya, a military raid that began on Wednesday evening intensified with reinforcements arriving after midnight. Israeli troops searched homes, detained dozens of young Palestinians for interrogation, and targeted a commercial shop and agricultural land.
The military incursions also resulted in civilian casualties. On Wednesday evening in Qalqilya, live ammunition fired by Israeli forces wounded two Palestinians, including a 14-year-old child. The Palestinian Red Crescent Society confirmed its teams transported the teenager, who was shot in the thigh, to a hospital, while local television reports indicated the total number of wounded in the city had risen to two.
In a separate operation early Thursday, Israeli forces targeted the town of Beit Imrin. Local sources stated that troops surrounded and blew up the home of Dawas Hassoun, a Palestinian prisoner arrested in March 2026. Hassoun stands accused of killing an illegal Israeli settler approximately six months before his arrest. The explosion caused significant material damage to the residential building.
Additionally, illegal Israeli settlers targeted the village of Attara, located north of Ramallah, early Thursday morning. The attackers set fire to two vehicles and spray-painted hostile and racist slogans on local property. According to local sources, Attara has faced a succession of settler attacks in recent months, coinciding with the establishment of an illegal settlement outpost close to Palestinian homes.
These operations are part of a broader escalation of Israeli military and settler actions in the West Bank since the outbreak of the war in Gaza in October 2023. According to official Palestinian statistics, the ongoing violence in the West Bank has resulted in the deaths of 1,206 Palestinians, including 254 children. Additionally, approximately 13,350 people have been injured, and more than 26,000 have been arrested since October 2023.
