Pop superstar Taylor Swift made her return to Arrowhead Stadium on September 14, kicking off her fourth season supporting Travis Kelce as the Kansas City Chiefs faced the Denver Broncos. Swift chose to spend her evening in Kansas City rather than making a cross-country trip to Los Angeles for the 78th Emmy Awards, which took place the same night.
During the first quarter of the home opener, television cameras captured the 14-time Grammy winner sitting in a luxury suite alongside actor Tom Cruise. A video shared on the social media platform X showed Swift wearing a red-and-cream checkered button-up shirt and taking a sip of a drink while conversing with Cruise.
Swift's appearance comes as Kelce embarks on his 14th NFL season. The Chiefs tight end had put off retirement plans in March, confirming his return for another year after months of speculation regarding his future on the field. This game marked Swift's first public appearance in the Arrowhead stands since Christmas Day 2025, when she watched Kansas City play Denver alongside her parents, Andrea and Scott, and her brother, Austin.
Throughout the 2025 season, Swift kept a low profile during her arrivals, slipping into the stadium without making a public entrance, a shift from her previous practice of walking through the stadium tunnel in front of photographers. Often, fan footage and brief television cuts were the only confirmation of her presence. Swift has been a regular at Chiefs home games since her first appearance at Arrowhead on September 24, 2023.
Rather than traveling to Hollywood for the Emmys, Swift remained in Missouri. Her Disney+ concert special, "Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour | The Final Show," had received five nominations, including nods for Swift as both a producer and performer. However, all five categories were decided during the Creative Arts Emmys on September 5, and the film did not win any awards.
Since she and Kelce went public with their relationship in 2023, Swift has attended 32 Chiefs games. Kansas City has maintained a highly successful 24-8 record with her in the stands, winning 75% of those matchups.
