Türkiye Vows to Thwart Netanyahu’s Destabilizing Regional Activities

Türkiye will continue to stand alongside Syria and other regional nations pursuing peaceful paths to counter the "destabilising activities" of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, according to the country’s Head of Communications, Burhanettin Duran.

Responding to questions on Thursday regarding Netanyahu's recent statements targeting Türkiye, Duran characterised the Israeli leader's threats and falsehoods as a reflection of "his growing international isolation, political fears, and delusions." He argued that attempts to mislead the global community by manufacturing "imaginary threats and enemies" are no longer successful because an international consensus has formed regarding the true nature of Israel's actions.

Duran highlighted that opposition to Israel's current policies is rising within the United States, the United Kingdom, and the wider global community. He asserted that Netanyahu has turned to aggressive rhetoric due to upcoming elections and domestic political pressures, seeking to secure a political lifeline through hostility toward Türkiye while competing with other radical political parties in Israel.

According to Duran, Netanyahu's aggressive policies stretching from Gaza to Syria and Lebanon, his tolerance of settler violence, and the provocative statements of extremist ministers in his cabinet have severely damaged Israel's global image. He accused the Israeli prime minister of trying to distract from these actions by blaming regional countries, particularly Türkiye.

"His attempt to blame Türkiye after attacking Syria is the clearest example of this," Duran stated. "But there is one thing they forget. The problem is not that people do not understand Israel's policies well enough; it is that more and more people understand and reject those policies." Duran added that high-budget public relations campaigns and false accusations would yield only limited results.

Addressing concerns over whether Netanyahu's remarks could escalate into a broader confrontation with Türkiye, Duran emphasized that regional nations and the international community are taking a firm stand against Netanyahu's occupation mentality and his efforts to ignite a wider regional conflict. He noted that the entire region is uniting against what he described as a strategic destabilizing actor, having witnessed three years of destruction caused by an aggressive neighbor.

Duran argued that the current Israeli administration has abandoned diplomacy and dialogue, choosing to equate national security with continuous aggression rather than stability. He clarified that the primary driver behind Israel's attitude toward Türkiye is not any threat posed by Ankara, but rather Türkiye's strength and influence in opposing the damage Israel is causing to regional security.

He also pointed out that internal critics and opposition figures within Israel have frequently condemned Netanyahu's anti-Türkiye rhetoric, calling it "irresponsible, extreme, and foolish." Duran noted that even Israeli politicians acknowledge the country is losing its allies, becoming increasingly discredited, and gaining nothing from creating tensions with Türkiye.

Describing Türkiye as a powerful NATO ally that has continuously developed its advanced capabilities and hard power, Duran said the wisest path for the Israeli government would be to work toward a two-state solution. He urged Israel to halt its threats against neighboring countries, stop targeting the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem, and abandon plans for new unauthorized settlements in the occupied West Bank.

"As Türkiye, we will continue to counter the destabilising activities of genocidal Netanyahu and stand by all countries in our region, especially Syria, that pursue peaceful policies," Duran said. He emphasized Türkiye's deep state tradition, describing the nation as prudent, calm, and powerful, with a history that proves it will do whatever is necessary for its own security and survival.

Duran concluded that Türkiye has the experience to avoid falling into the political games of figures like Netanyahu. "The prudent and peaceful foreign policy of Türkiye will thwart the bloody schemes of discredited figures like Netanyahu, who would not hesitate to set the region ablaze to secure their own political future," he said, adding that Türkiye will never allow anyone to disturb the peace of its nation or its friends.
