Venezia have finalized the signing of Nigerian striker Akor Adams, a move that establishes him as the most expensive player ever acquired by the club. Following his arrival in the lagoon city, the former Sevilla forward underwent a medical examination before committing to a four-year contract valued at €1.5 million per season.

Adams, known for his physical presence and goal-scoring ability, previously made his mark in La Liga after joining Sevilla from Montpellier in January 2025. During his time in Spain, he recorded 10 goals and three assists across 36 appearances, which included both starting roles and substitute cameos.

Venezia coach Giovanni Stroppa expressed his satisfaction with the club's latest signing, noting that Adams is an important profile who will provide significant support to the squad. While pleased with the acquisition, Stroppa also addressed the team's ongoing needs, stating that they still have defensive gaps to address. He acknowledged the work of sporting director Antonelli, who is managing the club's finances, while emphasizing that the team will continue to look for further improvements.

“Numerically, we have some gaps defensively, we’ll try to think about that. I’m not good at naming names; certainly the sporting director Antonelli also holds the wallet, so we’ll see what he manages to do. I’m very satisfied with the club’s work.”
