Roma has not abandoned its interest in Chelsea forward Alejandro Garnacho despite making significant progress in negotiations for Crysencio Summerville. The Italian club is currently managing both pursuits in parallel, as manager Gian Piero Gasperini has explicitly requested at least two new wide players to strengthen his squad for their return to the Champions League.

The pursuit of Summerville is described as "red hot," with Roma having already lodged a €46 million bid and secured an agreement with the player. However, the club is casting a wide net, having also explored more affordable alternatives such as Ajax winger Mika Godts. Garnacho, who currently finds himself out of favour at Stamford Bridge, remains firmly within the club's sights as an open candidate for a potential move.

While the club works on these primary targets, reports regarding other potential signings have been dismissed. Alfredo Pedulla has explicitly shut down rumors linking Roma to Atletico Madrid right-back Nahuel Molina, noting that the player's focus is entirely on the World Cup final. Similarly, previous speculation regarding Dodo was dismissed as baseless, with Pedulla characterizing such links as names being circulated without any foundation.
