Paris Saint-Germain is maintaining a firm stance regarding its valuation of forward Bradley Barcola. The club's position comes amidst growing interest from Premier League sides, with reports indicating that Arsenal has joined Liverpool in tracking the Frenchman.
While there have been suggestions of an agreement in principle between Liverpool and PSG for a fee reportedly in the region of €128 million (£109m), Sky Sports has indicated that a significant valuation gap currently exists between the two clubs, with Liverpool set to submit a €115m bid for the forward. Arsenal, meanwhile, has entered the market for a new forward option after failing to secure the signing of Vinicius Junior, who opted to remain at Real Madrid by signing a new contract with the Spanish giants.
Bradley Barcola enjoyed a productive campaign last season, contributing 13 goals and seven assists across 49 appearances in all competitions for the Parisian club. His versatility allows him to operate effectively on either flank or as a central striker. Following his club success, he impressed on the international stage, scoring three times for France during the World Cup in North America, including a goal against England in the bronze final.
The forward is well-known to his potential English suitors, having faced both Arsenal and Liverpool in the Champions League last season. Barcola appeared as a substitute during PSG’s penalty shootout victory over the Gunners in the final and later returned from injury to assist in securing a crucial quarter-final second-leg win for his side at Anfield.
