Parma is poised to welcome 23-year-old Argentine forward David Romero, as the club has successfully negotiated a deal with Tigre. The agreement, valued at €7 million plus additional bonuses, will see the striker sign a contract running until June 2031. Romero is expected to arrive in Italy late tonight, with medical examinations scheduled for Thursday.

The young center-forward, who emerged from the Talleres youth academy, initially joined Tigre on loan in 2025 before completing a permanent transfer in January 2026 for €2.15 million. His performance this season has been notable, having recorded 11 goals and two assists in 19 appearances.

Before settling on the move to Parma, Romero had drawn interest from several clubs across various leagues, including Cagliari in Serie A and Sevilla in Spain. Other teams linked to the player included Boca Juniors, Palmeiras, Flamengo, and the San Jose Earthquakes. The transfer progress was highlighted by Argentine pundit Cesar Luis Merlo, who shared a social media update confirming the player's travel plans to Italy.
