Napoli Considering Dusan Vlahovic Move if Lukaku Departs

Napoli is evaluating a potential move for Serbia international Dusan Vlahovic, who remains without a club nearly a month after his departure from Juventus. The interest from the Partenopei is contingent on the future of current centre-forward Romelu Lukaku, as the club looks to reshape its attacking options.

While there have been suggestions that Vlahovic was aiming for a move to a top-tier club in the Premier League or LaLiga, reports indicate that the only concrete interest in the striker has come from Besiktas. Despite the separation, Juventus has not entirely closed the door on the possibility of a different outcome for the player, though any resolution would require significant compromises from both parties.

Napoli’s search for a new centre-forward could intensify if they part ways with both Romelu Lukaku and the unwanted Lorenzo Lucca. Should both players leave, Rasmus Hojlund would remain as the only senior centre-forward option at the Stadio Maradona, making a move for Vlahovic a genuine possibility for the club.

The connections between the parties are already established. Napoli head coach Massimiliano Allegri is well acquainted with Vlahovic, having previously coached the Serbian at Juventus and attempted to bring him to Milan during the last summer transfer window. Furthermore, Napoli sporting director Giovanni Manna held discussions with Vlahovic’s father-agent early in June.

According to Saturday’s updates from Tuttosport, Juventus have still not entirely closed the door on Vlahovic yet, but it would still take a significant set of compromises from both sides if an agreement is to be struck.
