Mooney set the tone early, racing to a 57 off just 27 balls. She anchored a 73-run opening partnership with Sophie Dunkley, who contributed 15 runs from 17 deliveries. The pair dismantled the Fire bowling attack, accumulating those 73 runs in a mere 36 balls before Heather Graham provided the breakthrough for Welsh Fire. Following Mooney's departure, Nat Sciver-Brunt maintained the momentum with an unbeaten 37 off 23 balls, sharing an unbroken 40-run stand with Ash Gardner to guide the team to victory with 17 balls to spare.
Earlier in the contest, Welsh Fire struggled to build consistent pressure after losing early wickets, finding themselves at 28/2. Sophie Devine provided some stability with 38 runs, while Freya Kemp remained unbeaten on 36 off 29 balls. The duo combined for a 71-run partnership in 44 balls to inject some life into the innings.
