Miralem Pjanić has emerged as a central figure in Juventus’s successful acquisition of 18-year-old Kerim Alajbegović. The former midfielder, who enjoyed some of his most successful playing years in Turin, acted as a key intermediary to help the Bianconeri secure the young Bosnia international in a highly competitive race for his signature.
According to reports from TuttoMercatoWeb, Pjanić personally accompanied the teenager to Turin to oversee the finalization of the deal. His involvement was reportedly driven by his status as a close friend of the player’s father, a relationship that proved vital in influencing the young prospect’s career decision. While there had been speculation that Pjanić’s connections might steer the player toward his other former club, Roma, it was ultimately Juventus that won the battle for the youngster.
Speaking outside Juventus’s Continassa base, Pjanić said he was “happy for the family, who are happy to be here with the boy,” adding that “we hope Kerim will do great things.”
The 36-year-old brought the curtain down on a playing career with Roma, Juventus, Barcelona and CSKA Moscow late in 2025 before moving into agency work.
