After electing to bowl first, Welsh Fire’s seamers dominated the early stages. Chris Woakes and Sam Cook dismantled the top order within seven deliveries, removing Jamie Smith and Ben McKinney for just 2 runs combined. Despite a cautious rebuilding effort from Marcus Stoinis and Nikhil Chaudhary, the pressure remained, and Cook struck again to leave the Brave at 45 for 3 at the halfway point.
