The victory capped a remarkable turnaround for the Manchester franchise, which won five consecutive matches after being on the brink of elimination following three straight losses in the group stage.
Chasing a target of 159, the Super Giants finished on 162 for 5 with two balls remaining. Seifert led the charge by smashing seven sixes, including a boundary off the very first ball of the chase. He partnered with Paul Walter at the top of the order, a tactical shift that has redefined the team's season. The duo added a rapid 66 runs off just 31 balls. Walter, who opened in place of Aiden Markram after the latter returned home for personal reasons, contributed a quick 22 off 14 balls, bringing his season tally to 247 runs at a strike rate of 179.
Seifert's match-winning knock was not without drama. On 33, he was nearly dismissed when Finn Allen tumbled over the boundary rope, parrying a shot from Craig Overton's bowling to Calvin Harrison, who caught it one-handed. However, TV umpire Martin Saggers ruled it a six after reviews showed Allen's foot had touched the advertising boundary. Seifert continued his onslaught, exchanging sixes with captain Jos Buttler, who took over leadership duties from Markram.
