Inter Milan is looking to streamline its squad through player sales, but the club has hit a significant roadblock regarding the potential transfer of Luis Henrique to Roma. While the two clubs appear close to finalizing a deal valued at just under €30 million, the Brazilian player is reportedly not convinced by the move.
According to reports from Fabrizio Romano, Luis Henrique is currently hesitant about the transfer to the Stadio Olimpico and has presented salary demands that Roma has found unsatisfactory. Inter has informed the player that he is officially on the transfer market, though it remains uncertain if he will agree to the switch only a year after his arrival at the club.
The Nerazzurri are under pressure to generate funds through sales to finance incoming reinforcements. The club is targeting Djed Spence from Tottenham Hotspur, a deal expected to cost €31.5 million with add-ons reaching up to €35 million, alongside a move for Liverpool's Curtis Jones, valued at over €35 million. Djed Spence is expected to arrive in Milan on Thursday to begin medical examinations and contract negotiations.
In a separate move to clear space in the squad, Inter has already finalized an agreement to send Davide Frattesi to Lazio. That deal is structured as a loan for €1 million, with an obligation to purchase for €14 million under specific conditions, in addition to 50 percent of any future transfer fee.
