Lazio has initiated contact regarding a potential loan move for Inter midfielder Davide Frattesi. While the Rome-based club is reportedly exploring a loan deal that includes an option or potential obligation to buy, Inter remains focused on securing an outright sale for the Italy international.
Inter is currently under pressure to sell players before they can invest in new arrivals, a challenge that has complicated their summer transfer strategy. The club has set a €30 million asking price for Frattesi, who has struggled to secure consistent playing time under managers Simone Inzaghi and Cristian Chivu. Despite interest from various parties, including Juventus and Nottingham Forest, no club has yet met the valuation required by the Nerazzurri.
A move to Lazio could prove complex for the 27-year-old midfielder, who began his career in the Lazio youth academy before moving to rivals Roma. Frattesi has previously expressed his support for Roma, which may create a difficult reception should he join the Aquile. The player is set to turn 27 next month.
For Inter, the priority remains offloading Frattesi to generate the necessary capital to pursue other targets. Specifically, the Italian club hopes to reinvest funds from a potential sale into acquiring Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones, who is currently valued at approximately €40 million.
