NFL tight end Jake Ferguson and his wife, Haley Cavinder, have officially entered their "dog mom" era. The couple, who recently tied the knot on June 22 at the Biltmore Hotel in Miami, announced on Friday that they have adopted a golden retriever puppy named Boozer Fergy.
Haley Cavinder celebrated the arrival of the newest family member by sharing a playful video on TikTok. In the clip, she lip-synced to audio from BoopTheSnoot while introducing the puppy, captioning the post with, "Dog mom era 🐶" and adding, "You know what they say, dog moms are the new MILFS."
The adoption marks another milestone for the couple, who returned from a romantic honeymoon in the Bahamas shortly before the announcement. Their relationship began in 2023, though the pair has humorously debated the origins of their romance. According to comments made by Ferguson to GQ on June 22, the couple joked about who initiated contact first. While Ferguson noted that Cavinder liked several of his social media photos, he admitted to sliding into her DMs. Cavinder, meanwhile, playfully pushed back on the narrative, pointing out that Ferguson reached out after she engaged with his content.
Ferguson recalled that after they began speaking, he visited Florida while she was living in Miami. What was intended to be a simple dinner date quickly evolved into a 10-day-straight hangout, which Ferguson described as an immediate connection that solidified his desire to marry her. The couple became engaged in April 2025 during a scenic beachfront proposal, just one month after Cavinder concluded her college basketball career with the Miami Hurricanes.
