At least 11 Palestinians, among them three children, have been killed following a series of Israeli strikes across the blockaded Gaza Strip. In northwest Gaza City, an Israeli strike hit a residential apartment, resulting in the deaths of a family of five, including three children and their parents. Mahmoud Bassal, spokesman for Gaza's civil defence agency, stated that the only surviving member of the family was a child who was not inside the home when the attack occurred.
Separately, a medical source at Al-Shifa Hospital reported that an Israeli warplane targeted an apartment in the Nasr neighbourhood of Gaza City, killing five individuals—including a female child—and injuring several others. Witnesses noted that the strike destroyed the apartment and caused damage to surrounding homes. Additionally, medical personnel at Al-Shifa and Al-Ahli Baptist hospitals confirmed receiving the bodies of three Palestinians and two wounded individuals following Israeli artillery shelling near the Dawla roundabout in the Zeitoun neighbourhood, located southeast of Gaza City.
Following an ultimatum issued by the Israeli army via telephone to local residents, dozens of families fled the Dawla area south of Zeitoun. These families departed from tents and the remains of their homes, including those situated in the Abu Marahil and Dar al-Salam displacement camps west of Salah al-Din Street.
In central Gaza, the Israeli military expanded its presence east of Deir al-Balah on Saturday morning. Witnesses and local sources reported that Israeli military vehicles, supported by a bulldozer and under heavy gunfire and artillery, advanced near the Abu Miri roundabout. During this operation, forces moved concrete blocks marking the "yellow line" security boundary approximately 100 metres westward. By the morning, residents discovered that these blocks had been placed west of their homes, effectively placing their properties within the Israeli-controlled zone. This security boundary, which bars Palestinians from approaching, now encompasses over 70 percent of the enclave.
According to Gaza’s Health Ministry, Israel has continued to violate the ceasefire agreement that has been in effect since 10 October 2025. Ministry data indicates that these ceasefire violations have resulted in 1,144 Palestinian deaths and 3,703 injuries as of Friday. Furthermore, the ministry reports that since October 2023, Israel’s actions in Gaza have killed over 73,000 Palestinians, wounded more than 173,000, and destroyed approximately 90 percent of the enclave’s civilian infrastructure.
