According to reports from the official Palestinian news agency Wafa, the incident occurred in the Al-Jalatiya neighbourhood. During the raid, Israeli forces reportedly fired live ammunition into the air, alongside the use of stun grenades and tear gas, before removing the 7 individuals from the mosque premises.
The situation in Al-Jalatiya was marked by additional provocations, as illegal settlers established a tent on Palestinian-owned land and brought a flock of sheep to the site. Reports further indicated that a Palestinian-owned vehicle was destroyed during the incident. These actions are part of a broader pattern of military activity across the occupied West Bank.
In a separate operation in the southern occupied West Bank, Israeli forces raided the Dheisheh refugee camp in Bethlehem. During this incursion, soldiers deployed tear gas and stun grenades against local residents, causing several Palestinians to suffer from tear gas inhalation. The windows of multiple vehicles within the camp were also smashed during the raid.
Meanwhile, in the central city of Al-Bireh, an Israeli force entered the city centre and fired live ammunition, stun grenades, and tear gas before withdrawing from the area. No injuries or arrests were confirmed in the Al-Bireh operation. Israeli forces continue to conduct daily raids across towns, cities, and refugee camps throughout the occupied West Bank, frequently involving the detention of Palestinians and damage to private property.
