Iran's Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters has issued a stern warning that any US military strike against the nation's nuclear sites or other sensitive facilities will result in retaliatory attacks on American interests, as well as those of its allies and supporters. The armed forces headquarters stated that such an offensive would be viewed as an escalation of the war throughout the region and would be met with a "powerful" response.
This declaration follows comments from President Donald Trump, who suggested the US might strike the underground Pickaxe Mountain facility near the Natanz nuclear complex "very heavily." While Trump expressed a belief that Iran may have relocated nuclear centrifuges to the site, he admitted that Washington currently lacks confirmation of this activity.
In a separate development, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced that its forces successfully destroyed several radar systems during the 24th wave of Operation Nasr 2. These included an early-warning radar, a tactical radar complex near Ali Al Salem Air Base, and another system located on Kuwait's Bubiyan Island. The IRGC confirmed that these systems have been rendered inoperable and pledged that military operations against the "aggressor" will continue.
These developments occur amid an escalation in hostilities between the US and Iran over the past week, with Tehran continuing to target facilities and bases it identifies as being utilized by the US military across multiple regional countries. The ongoing exchange of fire persists despite a memorandum of understanding signed between the two nations in June, which was brokered by Pakistan to end the conflict that began in February and establish a lasting peace.
