While Super Bowl LIX champion Jalen Hurts was benched for the contest, the quarterback duties were split between Tanner McKee, Cole Payton, and Andy Dalton. The team faced a 24-0 deficit in the 4th quarter following a rushing touchdown by Ravens quarterback Austin Reed. Philadelphia avoided a complete shutout when rookie Cole Payton connected with wide receiver Erik Ezukanman for a six-yard touchdown with just over two minutes remaining on the clock.
Nick Sirianni, who was hired in 2021 following the departure of Doug Pederson, is entering his sixth year as the head coach of the Eagles. Under his leadership, the team has reached the playoffs in every season, including two Super Bowl appearances and a victory during the 2024 season.
