The Palestinian death toll in Gaza has climbed to 73,326 since the conflict began in October 2023, following reports of nine additional fatalities within the last 24 hours. According to a statement released by the Health Ministry on Sunday, local hospitals received the bodies of seven individuals killed in recent strikes, alongside two victims who succumbed to injuries sustained during earlier Israeli military actions.
Medical facilities in the region also admitted 36 newly injured individuals during the same period, bringing the total number of people wounded in the conflict to 173,997. The Health Ministry noted that many survivors remain trapped under rubble or stranded on roads, as civil defence crews and ambulance services continue to face significant obstacles in reaching them due to persistent military operations.
Despite the implementation of a ceasefire on October 10, 2025, the Israeli army has maintained daily attacks across the territory. Official figures from the Health Ministry indicate that these ongoing violations have resulted in at least 1,200 additional deaths and 3,888 injuries since the truce was established. The prolonged war has left the enclave in a state of ruin, forcing its 2.4 million residents to endure catastrophic humanitarian conditions.
