Fiorentina have entered the race to sign Parma striker Mateo Pellegrino, with negotiations reportedly progressing rapidly. The Argentine forward has been a frequent subject of transfer speculation this summer, and the Serie A club is now positioned as a primary contender to secure his services for the established €30 million asking price.
The shift in the transfer landscape follows Juventus' decision to withdraw from the pursuit of the center-forward. Having already secured Randal Kolo Muani from Paris Saint-Germain and Bayer Leverkusen prospect Kerim Alajbegovic, Juventus currently lack the necessary funds and squad space to finalize a deal for Pellegrino. Unless the club can offload Jonathan David, they remain unable to move forward with a bid.
Parma has already prepared for the potential departure of their star striker by signing El Bilal Toure from Atalanta. The deal is structured as a loan with an option to buy, totaling €11.5 million. While Fiorentina is now leading the negotiations, they are not the only party interested; Crystal Palace is also monitoring the situation closely.
