Norwegian football star Erling Haaland has publicly commended Instagram creator Jordan Adams for completing a grueling challenge at the London Marathon. Adams successfully navigated the full 26.62-mile course while carrying a 25kg fridge on his back to raise vital awareness and funds for early-onset frontotemporal dementia.
The cause is deeply personal for Jordan and his brother, Cian, who joined him for the run. The siblings have a 99.2% probability of developing the disease due to a rare gene mutation. The condition has significantly impacted their family, most notably claiming the life of their mother, Geraldine, in 2016 when she was 52 years old.
Expressing his gratitude for the high-profile support, Jordan posted on Instagram: "Instagram is weird. I carried a 25kg fridge around the londonmarathon to raise awareness for dementia after losing my mum to the disease. Apparently all it takes is one comment from @erling .. If you see this… Nice? Haaland, who is currently on a break following Norway's 2026 FIFA World Cup campaign—where the team reached the quarter-finals before falling 2-1 to England—responded to the post with emojis before sharing it on his own Instagram story with the caption, "What a guy!" Beyond his social media activity, Haaland is preparing to attend the wedding of his Manchester City teammate, Gianluigi Donnarumma, in Italy this weekend.
