Miami Dolphins running back De'Von Achane is setting his sights on the top individual honor in his position for the 2026 season. After delivering the most productive campaign of his professional career, the dynamic playmaker has publicly declared his ambition to capture the league's rushing title.
Achane expressed his focus during an interview with the NFL Network, noting that achieving the rushing title would be a testament to the team's overall success in every game. His drive comes on the heels of a 2025 season where he recorded 238 carries for 1,350 rushing yards and eight touchdowns across 16 games, earning his first Pro Bowl selection in the process. While the Dolphins missed the playoffs that year with an 8-9 record, Achane served as the primary offensive contributor, establishing career highs in rush attempts, yardage, and total touchdowns.
The former Texas A&M standout, who was selected in the third round of the 2023 NFL Draft, has consistently demonstrated elite efficiency. He led the league in rushing yards per attempt during both the 2023 and 2025 seasons. In his rookie campaign, he set an NFL record by averaging 7.8 yards per attempt, finishing with 800 rushing yards and eight touchdowns in just 11 games. After starting his career sharing the backfield with veteran Raheem Mostert, Achane transitioned into a full-time starting role in his second season.
Having recently signed a four-year, $64 million contract extension, Achane is now preparing to work under new head coach Jeff Hafley.
