Aston Villa has identified Roma midfielder Neil El Aynaoui as a top transfer target to fill the void left by Youri Tielemans. The Premier League side, which sold Tielemans to Manchester United for €41 million, is reportedly looking to reinvest those funds into the Moroccan international.
While much of the recent attention surrounding Giallorossi midfielders has centered on Manu Koné, El Aynaoui successfully utilized the 2026 World Cup as a platform to showcase his talents. El Aynaoui shone for Morocco and the 25-year-old is attracting a lot of interest from the Premier League, though Aston Villa is currently the side most closely monitoring his development.
According to Africa Soccer and Voce Giallorossa, the club most closely tracking his progress is Aston Villa, who see the 22-year-old as an ideal replacement for Tielemans.
