Former Arsenal midfielder Emmanuel Frimpong has urged the Gunners to continue spending and hijack Liverpool's pursuit of Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola.
The 23-year-old Barcola has emerged as a key attacking target for Liverpool as manager Andoni Iraola looks to strengthen his squad ahead of the upcoming season. The Merseyside club has reportedly received positive indications that the PSG player would be open to a move to Anfield, though the French champion's valuation of over £130 million could present a major obstacle to any potential deal.
Speaking to Ladbrokes, Frimpong expressed his delight at Arsenal's recent success, noting that Mikel Arteta and his players "finally got it over the line." Frimpong identified Newcastle United midfielder Bruno Guimaraes and PSG's Barcola as his ideal summer signings for Arteta's side. He concluded that securing both players would represent a highly successful transfer window for Arsenal as they look to build on their current squad depth.
