Alejandro Garnacho has officially joined Aston Villa on a season-long loan, becoming the fourth addition to the Europa League champions' squad this summer. The 22-year-old winger arrives following previous signings of Johan Manzambi, Joao Gomes, and Modou Keba Cisse.

Villa manager Unai Emery expressed his enthusiasm regarding the new arrival, stating, "We are delighted with Alejandro. He is so talented, young and he showed us his wish to help our project. We are really happy."

Garnacho’s departure from Stamford Bridge follows a challenging debut season with Chelsea, during which he recorded eight goals in 43 appearances across all competitions after transferring from Manchester United. The move comes after reports surfaced earlier this month that the forward had been informed by new Chelsea manager Xabi Alonso that he would not be guaranteed consistent playing time.

The loan deal coincides with recent transfer activity at Chelsea, as the London club recently finalized the record-breaking £117 million ($156 million) signing of Morgan Rogers from Aston Villa.
