Speaking during the club's pre-season tour in Australia, Del Piero noted that he is impressed with the continuity within the squad and the coaching staff, though he acknowledged the difficulty of maintaining peak training levels while traveling. He emphasized that his primary hope for the upcoming season is for Juventus to function as a cohesive unit.
Reflecting on his time in Australia, where he previously played for Sydney FC between 2012 and 2014, Del Piero described the experience as pleasant and fondly recalled the support of the local Italian community. The discussion eventually turned to the club's new arrivals, Randal Kolo Muani and Kerim Alajbegovic. Del Piero noted that Kolo Muani has integrated well and received an enthusiastic welcome back. Regarding Alajbegovic, the former star expressed excitement over the investment in such a highly-rated talent, stating that he is pleased the youngster chose to develop in the Italian league.
However, Del Piero cautioned supporters against placing excessive pressure on the young player. He stressed the importance of allowing Alajbegovic time to grow and adapt, expressing full confidence in Spalletti’s ability to manage the transition. Addressing the manager's role, Del Piero remarked that Spalletti possesses an impressive CV and does not need external validation, noting that the focus must be on finding the right balance for the team to improve its consistency. When asked about the prospect of returning to a directorship or managerial role at Juventus, Del Piero remained non-committal, stating that only God knows what the future holds, while affirming that his bond with the club and its colors remains deep regardless of his current status.
