Reflecting on the team's internal stability, former Patriots safety Devin McCourty expressed concerns regarding whether players would continue to look to Vrabel for leadership when facing adversity, noting that the coach's character is currently being tested.
Tomlin offered his perspective on how the team might manage the external scrutiny, emphasizing the importance of on-field performance. "When games start, winning matters," Tomlin stated. "If they get off to a fast start, they got a chance to quiet some of that noise. If they don't, that noise will get really loud."
