The Women's Asia Cup is likely to be staged in the UAE, with the tournament tentatively scheduled to run from August 28 to September 13. While the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has yet to provide a formal announcement regarding the event, all eight participating nations have been informally instructed to mark these dates on their calendars.
This competition will represent the sixth edition of the T20 Asia Cup. The field includes defending champions Sri Lanka, alongside India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Malaysia, Thailand, and the host nation, the UAE. Currently, the ACC is awaiting final approval from its leadership—headed by PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi—before confirming the official schedule, dates, and venue.
In correspondence sent to the participating teams on July 22, which included the tournament logo, the ACC noted that while the venue was still being finalized, it expected teams to arrive by August 27, with the tournament concluding on September 13. Participating countries have been actively coordinating with the ACC to finalize travel and logistical arrangements. The uncertainty regarding the official announcement was highlighted on Sunday when the BCCI briefly published an India squad list before removing it, as the tournament details remain unconfirmed by the governing body.
The scheduling of this event precedes the women's cricket competition at the 2026 Asian Games, which are set to take place in Nagoya, Japan, from September 17 to 24.
