Jordan Henderson has finalized a move to Chelsea, departing Brentford despite having one year remaining on his previous contract. The 36-year-old midfielder, who made 34 appearances for Brentford last season, joins the Blues as part of a recruitment drive that also includes fellow new arrival Danny Welbeck. Henderson has signed a deal that will keep him at Stamford Bridge until 2028, adding significant experience to the squad managed by Xabi Alonso.

"For me, it's about giving everything every single day, both on and off the field, to help the players around me and the team as much as possible. I'm very excited to get going," he said. This transfer marks the continuation of Henderson's long-standing Premier League career, during which he has already featured 463 times in the top flight.
