Sassuolo have reached a fundamental agreement with Verona regarding the transfer of Scotland international striker Kieron Bowie. The deal is structured as a loan with an option to buy that could become an obligation based on specific conditions, reaching a total value of €10 million. As part of the arrangement, 25-year-old Sassuolo forward Samuele Mulattieri will move to Verona on loan following his previous stint at Deportivo La Coruna.
According to transfer pundit Alfredo Pedullà, recent discussions successfully resolved the remaining differences between the two clubs, placing the transfer on track for completion. This move ensures that Bowie will continue his career in Serie A. The striker joined from Hibernian in January for a fee of €6 million and, despite the team's relegation, made a positive impact by recording four goals and one assist across 14 appearances.
Bowie, who turns 24 in September, has earned two senior caps for Scotland. Although he attracted interest from other clubs, including Cagliari in Serie A and Celtic in his home country, Sassuolo remained the most persistent suitor in securing his services.
