The Caribbean Premier League (CPL) is set for a major shake-up as teams finalize their rosters ahead of the 2026 season, which runs from August 7 to September 20. Glenn Phillips is on track to return to the tournament after recovering from a side injury sustained during New Zealand's second Test against England at The Oval, where he hit his maiden Test century. His return to the competition after a six-year hiatus will see him join the Amazon Warriors, where he is expected to contribute as both a batter and a bowler on Guyana's spin-friendly pitches. He will be joined in the spin department by Afghanistan’s Mohammad Nabi, who adds further depth to the Warriors' squad.
Trinbago Knight Riders (TKR) have confirmed the return of Tariq, though his availability remains uncertain due to his commitments with the Birmingham Phoenix in the Hundred, which overlaps with the CPL schedule. TKR has also bolstered their lineup with Sri Lanka-born USA bowling allrounder Amshi de Silva, who made a significant impact in the 2026 Major League Cricket (MLC) season with his high-speed deliveries. Additionally, South African batter Matthew Breetzke has been added to the TKR roster. The team will be under the guidance of head coach Dwayne Bravo.

The Barbados Tridents franchise has confirmed the return of Quinton de Kock and Mujeeb Ur Rahman. Meanwhile, the Antigua & Barbuda Falcons have strengthened their spin attack by signing Pakistani duo Shadab Khan and Sufiyan Moqim, though both will only be available for seven matches due to other commitments, including Shadab's signing with the Edinburgh Castle Rockers for the ETPL.
