Barcelona have officially announced the signing of forward Karim Adeyemi, who joins the club from Borussia Dortmund on a contract running until June 30, 2031. The 24-year-old attacker arrives as the club's second major signing of the summer, following the acquisition of England international Anthony Gordon from Newcastle.
Known for his lightning pace, the versatile Adeyemi is expected to provide a significant boost to Barcelona's attacking options. His arrival comes as the team looks to fill gaps left by the departure of veteran striker Robert Lewandowski and the conclusion of Marcus Rashford's loan spell from Manchester United. The move reunites Adeyemi with Barcelona coach Hansi Flick, who previously handed the forward his debut for the German national team in 2021.
Adeyemi joined Borussia Dortmund in 2022 from Red Bull Salzburg. Over the course of four seasons, he recorded 36 goals in 146 competitive appearances. Beyond this transfer, Barcelona remains active in the market, having submitted a bid for their primary summer target, Atletico Madrid forward Julian Alvarez.
